How does ADHD coaching work?
As ADHD Coaches, our role is to create a safe non-judgmental environment that supports you in the process of self-exploration, as well as fosters self-efficacy, self-belief, commitment and personal accountability. By asking thought provoking questions, listening intently from a place of deep understanding, and exploring deeply, I can assist you to: • truly understand how ADHD shows up in your life and help you come to terms with your diagnosis • challenge any currently beliefs that are holding you back, gain clarity and tap into your deep motivators • formulate personal goals, along with an individually tailored plan, so you can take self-determined action • heighten your self-awareness and self-observation skills to improve decision making and performance • draw on your unique personal strengths and talents to develop adaptive skills and coping strategies that suit your individual learning, processing and organisational style and preferences • successfully navigate around any challenges you face, and break through any fears and barriers • make self-determined positive mindset and behaviour changes to achieve success, and • celebrate your achievements.
What Is The Process?
We are trained to initiate conversations, ask thought provoking questions, listen intently, explore deeply, make requests, clarify your thinking and support your decisions. And to keep you on track and accountable on your journey to achieve your goals. To assist in this process, we promise to show up fully, to always have your back and to support you every step of the way. Our Approach: Every individual has their own innate strengths and talents. ADHD also brings with it some amazing traits. These can include: being curious, creative and intuitive having passion, unbridled enthusiasm and drive being able to think on your feet, brain-storm, “think outside of the box” and problem solve being funny, exiting, spontaneous and energetic having an amazing capacity for generosity, empathy and understanding being adventurous, courageous and willing to take a risk having a strong sense of fairness and justice.
How Is Coaching Delivered?
Coaching is offered via Zoom, Skype or FaceTime. Coaching appointments are available Monday & Wednesdays 8am-8pm. (and occasionally on Fridays) Sydney Time. If you are in another part of Australia or outside of Australia you can convert the above times to your local time using Time Zone Converter.
Do You Offer Programs?
We do, we have many different ways we can work. We have clients who work session to session, some that want a program of 10 sessions all the way to people wanting to really change with sessions going for 12 months. We really want to arm you with the tools and let you get back to life.
